Actor Adhyayan Suman, who recently emerged as the lead actor in the web series Aashram, said he had witnessed drug use at Bollywood's top events. Adhyayan's comments come after the industry was overshadowed by the drug side recently found in the case of Sushant Singh Rajput's murder.
In an interview with The Times of India, the actor said, “As far as I know, in my early days in the industry, I went to big, high-profile events where I saw a few actors taking drugs. It would be wrong for me to say that everyone takes drugs, because they are not. Few people in the top teams do it and it's really unfortunate. I decided not to take part in any of these gatherings, and I forgot to take drugs. ”
He also added that drug use is not only in the film industry, and that no one should go to them, for a while. His comments come after his ex-girlfriend, Kangana Ranaut, claimed that 99% of people in the film industry had already taken drugs. Her comments have been opposed by everyone from Raveena Tandon to Annup Sonii.
Adhyayan declined to comment on Kangana's statements. He said, “Kangana is a very big star and I am a very young actor, I forgot to be a star. I will not comment on this and that is much better. If I say anything to the contrary it would be wrong, you are a big star and you know everything. So I don’t want to say anything about this. He had accused Kangana of asking him if he wanted to make cocaine. He had told DNA, "On his birthday in March 2008 in The Leela, he had invited everyone he worked with. So I said no. I remember arguing that night because I said no to cocaine. ”
